Pre-School

Pre-School (3-4 years old)

Pre-School children learn new concepts and skills through experience and action. In our Pre-School program we build on this desire to know how and why things works and their enthusiasm to try new abilities.

Our Pre-School curriculum is designed to provide learning experiences that lay the foundational academic building blocks through hand-on structured activities, independent exploration and play inspired intentional teaching that encourage children to become life-long learners.

Experiential Activities

Activities are designed to strengthen complex problem-solving skills, master fine and gross motor skills and expand their literacy by introducing phonics and writing skills. Pre-Schoolers will experience STEM learning through the use of our STEM Center to observe the natural world and phenomenon around through experiments and scientific tools, computer introduction, and opportunities to design and construct projects.

Teachers use the Ruler model to help PreSchoolers strengthen emotional intelligence by reflecting and discussing what they are feeling and helping them recognize social cues from others.  Caregivers will support Preschoolers as they develop appropriate behavioral responses and help children navigate through emotional experiences with positive guidance when needed.  Through the Ruler model children will develop a deeper understanding of complex feelings which will lead to increased emotional regulation and sense of community.  Teachers develop social skill activities to help children master concepts of communication, cooperation, and compassion.
